Book Description:

A Passion for Wine
Coming from a Hispanic family with European roots, wine has always been part of my life. My dad often served wine at the dinner table. And once I reached my mid-teens, he would pour me a small glass on occasion.
After college, I started to buy wine every week. I was intrigued by the differences and nuances in each wine. So, to learn more, I started buying and reading every wine book I could get my hands on.
I would also regularly consult with my dad and other wine professionals. I’d go to wine tastings every week. Explore different wines from different regions. Make notes of what I liked and what I didn’t like (and why). And eventually, I developed a very reliable palate.
Eventually, my wife and I began drinking wine with dinner every evening. Yet as much as we enjoy wine, we can’t afford to spend too much. We certainly like drinking high-quality wines. We just don’t want to mortgage the house to get it!
